My Life as a Butterfly started as a blog about my personal journey through this life. It helped propel me to launching Authentic Self Coaching.
In my blog, I will talk about my personal battle with depression and how it has shaped who I am. I will also write about my life as a woman, a mother and a life coach. I will be truthful, real and vulnerable, which will hopefully help someone else along the way. To find out why I am a butterfly, check out the My Life As a Butterfly blog post.
I was born and raised on the west coast. I will always be a west coaster in my heart.
I now reside in a wealthy, coastal town in Fairfield County, CT. We are considered a suburb in the NY tri-state area.
I live here with my two amazing daughters, and our beloved yellow lab, Jake. The girls’ dad, my ex, Jaime, also lives here in town and we are, and will probably always remain, friends.
I love this town and feel blessed to call it home.
I have lost both my parents to cancer. My father passed in 1993 when I was 22 and my mother passed in 2008 when I was 37. This, of course, has had huge impact on my life and I will explore this in my blog.
I have one beautiful, older sister and she and her family live in the SF Bay Area. Christy is my forever companion. The one soul I will live this life with from the day I was born until the day I die. I love her more than I can ever express and carry her in my heart each and every day.
Most of my extended family live in the west. I hope this helps them stay in touch with what is going on in our lives. I miss them all very much. Luckily, I found my wonderful second cousin, Cindy, when I moved to CT. She is my rock here.
